Adoption Process
1. Check our adoptables

Explore our list of adoptable animals on the our website, facebook page or by visiting our shelter.

2. Submit an Application

Once you’ve found a pet you’re interested in, fill out our adoption application form. This form helps us understand your lifestyle and what you’re looking for in a companion to ensure a great match.

3. Wait for our screening completion

Please wait while we complete the screening process. Once your application is reviewed and all adoption requirements are met, we will schedule an online interview to proceed.

4. Meet and Greet

If you’ve passed our screening process, we’ll schedule a time for you to meet your potential new family member in person. This step is important to see how well you and the animal connect, and it’s a great opportunity to ask our team any questions.

5. Home Visit

In some cases, we may request a home visit to ensure your living environment is safe and suitable for the pet you’re adopting.

6. Finalizing the Adoption

Once approved, we will complete the adoption paperwork and you will have to sign the pet adoption agreement. You will receive all relevant medical records, and your new pet will be delivered to your home.

Adoption Information
why adopt?

When you adopt from a shelter, you’re not just giving an animal a home—you’re giving them a second chance at life. Every adoption helps reduce overcrowding in shelters and makes room for more animals in need of rescue. Our goal is to find loving, forever homes for each of our animals and to create a lasting bond between pets and their new families.

What’s Next After Adoption?

After adopting, we are here to support you! We offer guidance on behavior, training, and general pet care. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions as your new pet adjusts to their forever home.

Can I return the pet if it doesn’t work out?

Yes, part of the agreement upon adoption is that if you are unable to keep the pet, we require you to return them to us. We are committed to finding them the right home.

Are all animals spayed/neutered before adoption?

Yes, all animals are spayed/neutered before they are adopted unless they are too young in which case we will require you to complete this at a later time or too old to undergo any surgery or they have an underlying medical condition that prevents the animal to undergo a surgery.

What are the requirements in adopting?

We have a few basic requirements to ensure our pets find the right homes:

  • You must be at least 21 years old to adopt.
  • If you rent, you must provide proof of landlord approval.
  • All adopters must agree to spay or neuter their pets if this hasn’t already been done.
  • We require that all members of the household meet the pet before finalizing the adoption.
  • You must have a source of income to provide for your adopted pet.
